I’ve finally given in to the hype and brought an Xbox 360, and I have to say it’s a fantastic console. Having owned previous consoles, all of which did not live up to the hype, this console is far, far better. Tthe graphics are stunningly realistic, and using a HDTV makes the graphics beyond belief.

The sound is fantastic especially if you have a Dolby Digital surround sound system. The wireless controller is surprisingly comfortable compared with the PlayStation controller. The faceplates allow you to personalise your console which is nice, although the design of the console is aesthetically pleasing anyway. The HD-DVD player add-on will allow it to become a HD movie centre. The games are simply fantastic and very addictive. So if you’ve got £280 to burn you would be hard pressed to find something well designed, future-proofed and packing a great list of games, go get one and join the revolution.

Now all I have got to do is not stay up into the early hours of the morning playing…
