Today was my first lesson in the Korean martial art of Kuk Sool. So with my heart in my throat and my stomach churning, I was introduced to my mentor, who took me through some stretching routines and some basic moves. Etiquette (Yea Ui) and respect is very important in the Kuk Sool, It felt unusual to bow and refer to other people as Sir or Madam, and yet I felt very, very welcome, extremely challenged and was left with an eagerness to do so much more that I have joined and I’m counting the days to my next class.
