Skiing in Norwich
Helen and I went skiing at the Norwich Ski School yesterday, it was fantastic. I think we were all very nervous when we got there, the ski slopes looked huge. Nevertheless, it was so funny watching everybody walk around, with the skis off, they looked like little toy robots.
When we got to the ski slope, I realized the kids were far better skiers than me, despite a few of them falling over here and there. Most were better at me at braking, but in terms of manoeuvring, at least I have some dignity in being able to do that without falling over.
So what can you do when you’re going downward, with the bottom of the hill rushing up to meat you? Learn how to ski so you don’t tumble and fall like an idiot. Probably the most hilarious part of it all was watching Aaron trying to climb the hill. It seamed like every step he took up the slope, he slid back down two. Fortunately I didn’t fall during the lesson, so no embarrassing pictures of me.
I’m dying to try skiing again. I’m not good, and my feet hurt, but its so much fun . . .
