Norwich Ice Experience

No training today as the sports centre is closed, “boo hoo” so I went to the Ice Experience in Norwich to try ice skating. Now I know that like Kuk Sool, the more effort you put into skating, the greater the rewards, but, that’s where the comparison ends. With Kuk Sool training you get wet from sweating, however, when ice skating, (and I use the term skating very, very lightly) you get wet form spending far too much time on your backside, and its bloody cold!

You might think, that I could have done a few break-falls to help myself , but it’s not the break-fall that hurts, its repeatedly getting up and readying yourself for the next one that hurts. Hey, I thought I did well, however the abundant laughter from the audience betrayed my true form.

  • Its fantastic and thrilling to see so many adults learning to skate and in the last 18 mths i have attended its great to see how much they have achieved. The coaches at ice experience are so good especially Pauline Stevenson shes an inspiration to lots of people and really brings to the ice a lovely atmosphere.

  • We’ve heard today that The Ice Experience in Norwich has closed. The bailiffs turned up this morning!! ‘What on earth are we going to do now’ as the nearest ice rink is Peterborough. Please! Please! Please! can we save this ice rink! The government go on and on about people getting fit and lets face it, this does help us to keep fit. Why can’t the government help out as it would keep people in their jobs.

  • come on andy, try the ice rink out again now its opened again. wear something that stand out so you are recognised if you wants some help to keep up on the ice.
laughter, fun, friendships are whats needed in the world just like your club kuk sool, one thing helps another ie balance stamina.
