Welsh, a hairdresser, of Hexham Avenue, Hebburn, Tyne & Wear, made claims to Working Families’ Tax Credit and Tax Credits by declaring herself a single parent family when in fact she was living with her Husband Trevor Welsh.
Welsh, pleaded guilty to 4 charges of False Accounting and two charges of fraud. She was sentenced to 5 months imprisonment on each charge, to run concurrently.
From April 2001 to April 2004 she also claimed as being a single parent and for childcare costs that she had not incurred.

Hi Sky broadband user (yes you’re not anonymous, but I’ve not put your details here to save your embarrassment)
You lost your wager!
I have my own business. I do real work. I work Monday to Saturday, including evenings and some Sundays. I do not get a salary and every weekend off. The money I earn is a true reflection of the effort I put into my work. My business is growing, my customers are happy, I’m happy, are you?
Nevertheless, yes I can be a c…t sometimes, but then again, I think I’ve earned that right, have you?
